she/her
I’m a lover of the natural world - including long walks with my dog, Daphne - as well as literature and ideas. I view my work as my calling - it suits my deeply reflective, loving, and endlessly curious nature. I’m a homebody who loves puttering around my house, antiquing and tea dates. I view my path as one of embodied spirit, and I have a goofy sense of humour that balances my innate earnestness.
I know how hard it can be to ask for help, especially when you’ve been the one holding it all together. I work with people who are thoughtful, sensitive, often high-functioning on the outside, and overwhelmed beneath the surface. Whether you’re carrying the long echoes of trauma, navigating the intensity of parenting, or struggling to feel connected in your relationships or your own body, I offer a space where we can explore with honesty, care, and curiosity.
My Approach
At The Wren Centre in west Ottawa, I work with adults, couples, and parents. Some of my clients are navigating complex PTSD, neurodivergence, or relational trauma. Many are processing parenthood, looking to feel more connected with their partner, coping with the demands of high achievement, healing from loss or abuse (including CSA), or learning how to be present and kind to themselves in ways they never knew were possible. I also work with many who grew up feeling “different”—too sensitive, too intense, too responsible—and are now ready to understand those patterns through a more compassionate lens. I have significant lived and professional experience with neurodivergence including giftedness, autism and ADHD.
As we work with both mind and body, I support clients ready to approach their work with a holistic lens and willing to make space in their lives for change. Grounded in somatic therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, attachment theory, and Buddhist and Vedic psychology, I draw on techniques from emotion focused therapy, gestalt, somatic therapy, parts work, and body-mindfulness. My work is shaped by decades of personal study in yoga, Ayurveda, and various meditation techniques. Our work together might include quiet reflection, nervous system education, practical shifts, or guided body-based practices.
I hold trainings or certifications in Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, Brainspotting, various attachment and trauma therapies including Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, and more yoga or mindfulness modalities than can be reasonably listed. I engage in ongoing work and mentorship with various mentors who bring decades of experience to their guidance. I believe that my ongoing personal work and devotion to my own healing and well-being directly benefits my clients and improves my professional effectiveness.
Outside of the therapy room, I write, speak, and teach about the integration of mind, body, and spirit in healing. I’m the author of Teach Kind, Clear Yoga: A Guide for Practitioners and Teachers, and frequent teacher and speaker on podcasts, yoga teacher trainings and workshops or retreats. You’ll also find me leading seasonal retreats and teaching fellow clinicians how to integrate somatic approaches into their work.
My greatest supports and joys are my husband, Alex, and my expressive, energetic kiddo, Harvey - the two people who see and love all the layers of me. I enjoy staying active, spending quality time with friends and family, puttering around antique stores and savouring the outdoors by managing my wild rural property or walking my dog, Daphne.
If you’re longing for steadiness, insight, and self-trust - especially if you’ve never quite felt like you belonged - I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
