Centre Director, Registered Psychotherapist
she/her
I’m a gardener and lover of the natural world, deeply reflective and endlessly curious about what makes us human. I’m committed to a path of service and spirit—and I have a goofy humour that mostly my family gets to see.
I know how hard it can be to ask for help, especially when you’ve been the one holding it all together. I work with people who are thoughtful, sensitive, often high-functioning on the outside, and overwhelmed beneath the surface. Whether you’re carrying the long echoes of trauma, navigating the intensity of parenting, or struggling to feel connected in your relationships or your own body, I offer a space where we can explore with honesty, care, and curiosity.
Due to high demand and an extended wait time, I’m not currently adding new names to my personal waitlist. We are available to make a recommendation for one of our other therapists.
My Approach
At The Wren Centre in west Ottawa, I offer therapy for adults, couples, and parents. Some of my clients are navigating complex PTSD, neurodivergence, or relational trauma. Others are processing parenthood, learning how to be in relationship with their partner for mutual uplift and healing, coping with the demands of high achievement, healing from loss or abuse (including CSA), or learning how to be present and kind to themselves in ways they never knew were possible. I also work with many who grew up feeling “different”—too sensitive, too intense, too responsible—and are now ready to understand those patterns through a more compassionate lens.
As we work with both mind and body, I support clients ready to approach their work with a holistic lens and willing to make space in their lives for change. Grounded in somatic therapy, neurobiology, attachment theory, and Buddhist and Vedic psychology, I draw on techniques from Brainspotting, parts work, EFT, and body-mindfulness, and my work is shaped by decades of study in yoga, Ayurveda, and meditation. Our work together might include quiet reflection, nervous system education, practical shifts, or guided body-based practices—always tailored to what feels safe and meaningful for you.
Outside of the therapy room, I write, speak, and teach about the integration of mind, body, and spirit in healing. I’m the author of Teach Kind, Clear Yoga: A Guide for Practitioners and Teachers, and frequent teacher and speaker on podcasts, yoga teacher trainings and workshops or retreats. You’ll also find me leading seasonal retreats and teaching fellow clinicians how to integrate somatic approaches into their work.
In addition to my therapeutic work, my greatest teachers are my husband, Alex, and my expressive, energetic kiddo, Harvey - the two people who see and love all the layers of me. I enjoy staying active, spending quality time with friends and family, puttering around antique stores and savouring the outdoors with managing my wild rural property or walking my dog, Daphne.
If you’re longing for steadiness, insight, and self-trust - especially if you’ve never quite felt like you belonged - I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
